This 46-km beautiful toy train journey is from Mettupalayam with many tunnels, bridges, curves, and beautiful scenery on both sides. The trains reaches to Ooty in five hours and there are trips starting everyday morning.

 

Ooty Lake is the next best place to be in Ooty, which is a popular destination for the tourists. There are many activities to enjoy here as paddle boating, horse riding, cycling, and many more things. Botanical Garden is one of the biggest of its type of preserved gardens in the country, which is spread across 22 hectares of land with 650 different species of trees and flowering plants, which is simply a horticulturist’s marvel.

 

Stone House is another must visit place in Ooty in the activities to do in Ooty list of history enthusiasts. This bungalow was  built back in 1822. Fernhill Palace which was built in 1844 is another palace to visit. St. Stephen’s Church is an ancient church built in 1829, which is the oldest in this region. Doddabetta Peak is the height point in South India, which is about 8,606 feet above sea level.
